Wood Carvings

There are only two of these carved wood fish sculptures in existence, I currently have them both. Over the years they have received more attention than any other piece of artwork that I have ever created. The "FISH I" was created over 20 years ago It was gifted to my Mom who was in assisted living and asked me for a piece of my art. Many years later, after she passed. I received it back from her. I had two daughters and I could not decide which one I was going to give "The Fish I" to. So, in 2019, I decided to create "The Fish II" so that each of my daughters could have one. I decided that at some point in the future, my younger daughter, Victoria, would receive " TheFish I" sculpture and that my older daughter, Megan, would receive "The Fish II" sculpture. However, it would never come to be. My older daughter, Megan, at age 33, passed away from covis -19, in 2021. For now, 2023, I have decided to keep the sculptures on display for everyone to enjoy. I will not be creating another one of these fish theme sculptures.

"Paul's Sculpture"

This is the only other wood sculpture that I ever created. At first I was going to make this part of another Fish sculpture. However, I decided against it (see pic below). As simple as it may seem, it is my favorite and it is still inspiring me to this day. It was my first move away from carving The Fish theme. Getting it to balance on it small base was a fun challenge. Over the next few months or years, I hope to create a few more similar carvings. A few years ago, I gifted this carving to my brother Paul. Hopefully he is enjoying it.
